Song Lyrics of the Day...
Since the moment I spotted you
Like walking 'round with little wings on my shoes
My stomach's filled with the butterflies
And it's alright
Bouncing round from cloud to cloud
I got the feelin' like I'm never gonna come down
If I said I didn't like it then you know I'd lied
Every time I try to talk to you
I get tongue-tied
Turns out, everything I say to you
Comes out wrong and never comes out right
So I'll say why don't you and I get together an' take on the world, be together forever
Heads we will and tails we'll try again
So I say why don't you and I hold each other, fly to the moon
and straight on to heaven
Cause without you they're never gonna let me in
When's this fever gonna break ?
I think I've handled more than any man can take
I'm like a love-sick puppy chasing you around
And it's alright
Bouncin' round from cloud to cloud
I got the feeling like I'm never gonna come down
If I said I didn't like it then you know I'd lied
Every time I try to talk to you
Get tongue-tied
Turns out, everything I say to you
Comes out wrong and never comes out right
So I'll say why don't you and I get together an' take on the world
and be together forever
Heads we will and tails we'll try again
So I say why don't you and I get together, fly to the moon
and straight on to heaven
Cause without you they're never gonna let me in
Slowly I begin to realize this is never gonna end
But about the same time you walk by
And I say oh here we go again, oh
Every time I try to talk to you
I get tongue-tied
Turns out, everything I say to you
Comes out wrong and never comes out right
So I'll say why don't you and I get together an' take on the world
and be together forever
Heads we will and tails we'll try again
So I say why don't you and I hold each other, fly to the moon
and straight on to heaven
Cause without you they're never gonna let me in
So I'll say why don't you and I get together take and on the world
and be together forever
Heads we will and tails we'll try again
So I say why don't you and I hold each other, fly to the moon
and straight on to heaven
Cause without you they're never gonna let me in
So I`ll say why don't you and I get together and take on the world
and be together forever
Heads we will and tails we'll try again
25 Things About Me
Enjoy my darlings...
1. I have been married and divorced, but am now with the love of my life and will never get divorced (and maybe not even married!) again
2. I am obsessed with all things related to skin care – the products, the science, actual skin itself…I am regretting thinking I was too dumb to major in pre-med in college – I should have been a dermatologist
3. I LOVE dogs…just adore them. I think they are the sweetest, most innocent creatures and really do know how to live and love life. They are also always happy to see you J
4. I actually bought a Snuggie – two, in fact (since they’re BOGO). I’m pleased to say I really do enjoy it.
5. Our cat Chappy is magical. He talks, teleports and has a very keen interest in the engineering of our shower. It’s slightly creepy.
6. My sister, Kate, is one of the most hilarious people I know. We can be doing nothing and just laugh and laugh and laugh.
7. My mom is my very best friend in the whole world
8. I work for one of the greatest companies in the world (in my opinion) – among other great things, there is a room at work called the “Wellness Room” where you can actually go and take a nap!
9. I love blue pens and HATE black pens (HATE THEM).
10. I love quotes and song lyrics – you can give me any situation and I’ll give you a corresponding quote or song lyric.
11. When I was little I wanted to be the following things when I grew up: a teacher, an archeologist, a fashion designer, a television reporter, a magazine writer and a singer/songwriter.
12. I am 4th generation advertising in my family – which explains why it is what I do now (it’s just in the blood)
13. As I get older and the more time I spend in San Francisco, I’m really starting to miss the Midwest. It’s so much simpler and less expensive there.
14. I LOVE Jarritos lemon lime soda – almost too much I think
15. I have many hobbies, but do them so sporadically that I’m not sure they can be considered hobbies
16. I’m REALLY glad leggings came back into style – seriously the BEST clothing EVER
17. My dream in life is to live on a huge farm/ranch and run a RESPONSIBLE dog breeding business, as well as a dog rescue. I want to have several heated barns/buildings for the dogs and big open spaces for them to run all day long. And I would like some horses, alpacas and pigs too. Basically I want to live on the farm (goes back to the whole ‘missing the Midwest’ thing)
18. I have been picking out names for my future children since I was about 8 years old – I’ve gone from simple things like Sarah and Robert, to weird things like Izaq (for a girl, pronounced like “Issac) , to more appropriate names like Lucy, Margo and Oliver (current faves).
19. I was diagnosed with Social Anxienty Disorder when I was 20 (which turned out to actually be Bipolar Disorder), which always really confused me because –and those who know me can attest to this—I have ZERO anxiety about being social J
20. I have lived in three countries (US, Brasil and Spain) and speak three languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish)
21. I have two ex-boyfriends who have passed away – what does that say about me???
22. After about 5 years of trial and tribulation in my life, I can finally say that I’m happy – just happy, content and sane.
23. I have two moms, two dads, two sisters and two brothers – it’s awesome J
24. I think that there is no blue sky like the blue sky in Brasil – if you’ve ever gone there you know EXACTLY what I mean
25. I could probably list way more than 25 things here

Song Lyrics of the Day...
Today is my birthday and all that I want
Is to dig through this big box of pictures
In my kitchen 'til the daylight's gone
This one here's my mama
With the long, brown hair
I'm 40 years older today than she was in that picture there
[CHORUS:]
But if life stayed the way it was
And loves never fell out of love
If memories didn't last so long
If nobody did nobody wrong
If we knew what we had before it was gone
If every road led back home
This would be
The very last country song
These are all my babies
Lord knows how we survived
The first one was hard and that last wasn't planned
What a big surprise
That's him with his daddy's eyes
I loved the man in this one
It's faded but I don't care
There are nights when I wake up and know he's beside me I swear
Sometimes I still feel him there
If we knew what we had before it was gone
If every road led back home
This would be the very last country song

Song Lyrics of the Day...
Madly, Madly, Madly
I'm not surprised that you still call
I'm not surprised
I'm more surprised that I don't answer
Pick up the phone to call you back
Pick up the phone to call you back
Ain't it funny how things work out like that
Cause the time that it takes to open my eyes
Is the time that it took me realize
Madly madly madly
Well tell that you need me
Show me im the only and thats all I need to know
Madly madly madly
Well if you really love me
When you see me leaving
Baby just let me go
Well I've been good, no ive been great
You say you're in a better place
And honestly I might be for ya.
But theres a tone in my voice that gives away my selfish choice
Could my heart beat any faster?
Cause the time that it takes to pass me by
Is the time that it took me to realize
Madly madly madly
Tell me that you need me
Show me I'm the only and thats all I need to know.
Madly madly madly
Well if you really love me
When you see me leaving baby
Just let me go
We give it up, try to find what was with us all the time
Gotta lose some things if you're ever gonna get on by
And who was wrong who was right?
Always end up in a fight
I thought I won, but now I find....
Madly madly madly
If you really love me when you see me leaving
Just let me go
Madly madly madly
Well tell me that you need me
Show me I'm the only and that's all I need to know know know know
Madly madly madly
If you really love me, when you see me leaving
baby just let it go no
Madly madly madly
Tell me that you want me
when you see me leaving, just let me go.

Song Lyrics of the Day...
I've got to be honest
I think you know
We're covered in lies and that's OK
There's somewhere beyond this I know
But I hope I can find the words to say
Never again no
No never again
'Cause you're a god
And I am not
And I just thought
That you would know
You're a god
And I am not
And I just thought
I'd let you go
But I've been unable
To put you down
I'm still learning things I ought to know by now
It's under the table so
I need something more to show somehow
Never again no
No never again
I've got to be honest
I think you know
We're covered in lies and that's OK
There's somewhere beyond this I know
But I hope I can find the words to say
Never again no
No never again

Song Lyrics of the Day...
Pray
Just because it didn’t last
Doesn’t mean that we were wrong
We both fell in love so fast
And now it’s gone
And the hurt is strong
Though we don’t see eye to eye
And a wind’s begun to blow
I’m gonna love you til I die
And I want you to know
Til they lay me low
I’ll pray that love will blessed and find you
Pray for joy and happiness
Pray for two strong arms around you
Pray
Was it something we can’t see?
Maybe something we don’t know
If it wasn’t meant to be
We should just say so
And let it go
I’ll pray that love will blessed and find you
Pray for joy and happiness
Pray for two strong arms around you
Pray
That with time
You’ll someday find peace
I’ll pray that love will blessed and find you
Pray for joy and happiness
Pray for two strong arms around you
Pray
That with time
You’ll someday find peace
That with time
You’ll someday find… love

Thought Pie: Grace in Small Things - Part 1 of 365
I'm stealing an idea from my coworker and the blogger Schmutzie and starting "365 Days of Grace in Small Things".
To explain it better, here's a bit from Schmutzie:
"The world we live in is loud and harsh and bright and demanding, and it is easy to slide into a less than thoughtful survival mode in which we do what we have to do to make it through the day with the least amount of strife possible. This robs us of the time and energy to be mindful of ourselves and those we love and to recognize the grace that exists in small things.
It is with this thought that I am beginning one year of posts called "Grace In Small Things". Every day for 365 days, I will post a list of five things that have graced my life, either on that day or at any time in my life. Feel free to join me. Or mock me. Or, you know, do whatever's in your heart. You can start on whatever day you want, so if you come across this six months from now, don't let that hold you back."
So to kick if off, here is Part 1 of 365 from yours truly:
1. My Grandpa Mulford
2. My dog Jack and his goofy smile
3. My boyfriend's face when he plays guitar
4. My sister's laugh and the way her eyes crinkle up when she does so
5. Working with a group of super smart, really nice and non-drama people
